pH Control

pH-control additives enhance the effectiveness of other additives and increase compatibility between brine fluids and formation fluids.

The pH stabilization technique is an alternative method for corrosion control in completion and workover fluids. Film-forming inhibitors have been a common method for corrosion prevention of CO2 corrosion in completion fluids. The pH stabilization technique was introduced by TETRA. Laboratory testing has also been undertaken by The Institute for Energy Technology (IFE) in joint industry projects and directly as qualification testing for oil companies.
